Cornerstone School is a Web-based school management system that allows students, teachers, parents and administrators to easily communicate, share information and manage their tasks. Cornerstone School unites your school community around a single powerful database, eliminating duplicate data entry and saving time for teaching.
Schools can manage and communicate the necessary information to help them function both on a daily and long-term basis. When using the Cornerstone School suite, schools are able to track tuition plans, invoicing and lunch count, ensuring that the information is available to only the required people. Authorized users can also get real-time access to critical information, such as attendance, grades and billing.
Cornerstone School gives student demographics, attendance, assignments, grades, health records, billing, and more with only a Web browser. The Web-based software allows any users with a login, from parents to teachers to administrators, access to the system from any computer at any time. No additional software is needed, and the easy-to-use interface allows individual with less technical knowledge to still comfortable and connected to the school community through Cornerstone.
By adding any of the following modules, Cornerstone School can be configured to meet the needs of your school or school district:
Classroom
Cornerstone’s Classroom module is the teacher portal for the Cornerstone application. Teachers can input grades, manage assignments and take attendance right from their desktop with the client solution. This solution then populates the Web-based system, allowing teachers to access their information anywhere, any time.
Household
Parents and students can access their information through the Cornerstone Household module. Students can view course information, grades and assignments, while parents can view account information and information about their child’s progress. Events, announcements and news are updated on the parent’s and student’s home pages as well, keeping them informed of all school activities.
Community
Communication between parents and the school is supported with the Community module. Parents can sign up for alerts via email or text to be notified if their child is absent, their grade drops or reaches a specific percentage, and much more. A chat feature will also be available in a future release.
Published Grades
Outcomes
Generate report cards and transcripts faster and more reliably by leveraging point-in-time, snapshot data with the Cornerstone Outcomes module. Report cards can be published, versioned and archived, allowing for quick access to historical grades. A new power tool makes authoring report cards easier than ever. Pick from one of the standard templates and customize it to match your school colors and logo.
Cafeteria
The Cafeteria module allows schools to maintain meal plans, lunch accounts, lunch tracking, lunch menus, inventory and subsidized meal plans. When used with the Finance module, schools can collect point of sale data and other financial information.
Student Demographics
Transportation
Coordinate student transportation and bus route information with the Transportation module. Easily document the license plate numbers of parents who drop off and pick up their children. Also, maintain parking permit numbers for staff and students.
Finance
Cornerstone’s Finance module provides an accounting tool to streamline the management of tuition and fees, allowing you to do more with your school management system. You can quickly generate invoices and statements, as well as view accounts receivable. Since Cornerstone is built on a centralized database, there is no duplicate entry of student and parent information for billing.
Schedule Builder
The Cornerstone Schedule Builder helps your process of building your school’s master schedule, offering a graphical interface that assists in creating your schedule with easy drag and drop tools. Its powerful schedule generator can also automatically create the best schedule for your needs, when supplemented with your constraint definitions.
