Government agencies are increasingly required to use vendors that meet rigorous federal security standards. FedRAMP provides a unified, NIST 800-53–based framework that ensures cloud environments follow consistent, validated security practices. As federal requirements evolve, some states have also begun signaling alignment with GovRAMP or similar programs.
To support agencies across all levels of government, ImageTrend is pursuing FedRAMP authorization at the High Impact Level and DoD Impact Level 4 (IL4). Meeting this standard also satisfies emerging state expectations tied to GovRAMP-style requirements, allowing agencies to rely on a single, federally recognized security model.
ImageTrend is currently listed on the FedRAMP Marketplace through Project Hosts’ Azure Platform as a Service (PaaS) offering. Project Hosts is a cloud solutions provider specializing in FedRAMP, DoD IL, and GovRAMP environments, and supports the secure infrastructure required for ImageTrend’s FedRAMP pursuit. At this stage of FedRAMP authorization, ImageTrend has successfully deployed a NIST 800-53–compliant test environment and is steadily progressing toward full authorization.
Position
ImageTrend is pursuing FedRAMP High and DoD IL4 as our primary security and compliance framework. GovRAMP certifications are unnecessary because FedRAMP authorization inherently satisfies those requirements. This ensures a clear and consistent path for agencies evaluating ImageTrend’s cloud readiness.
Rationale
- Meets federal and state expectations: FedRAMP High addresses both federal requirements and emerging GovRAMP standards.
- Provides a single trusted framework: FedRAMP offers a consistent, NIST 800-53–based model recognized across government agencies.
- Reduces compliance complexity: A unified approach eliminates the need for separate or duplicative state certifications.
- Supports stronger security assurance: FedRAMP’s continuous monitoring requirements reinforce transparent, validated security practices.
