The EMS Corps program works with young people who have had to navigate under-resourced public systems, insecure housing, system involvement and other challenges to prepare them for the EMS workforce. This webinar will focus on the pearls and pitfalls of recruiting and retaining students that are representative of the community EMS serves. About the Presenter David Page, MS, NRP, IPR-A
Director of the Prehospital Care Research Forum | UCLA and Director of EMS Education | EMS-Corps
David Page is the Director of the Prehospital Care Research Forum at UCLA, Director of EMS Education for EMS-Corps, and active field paramedic with Allina Health EMS in Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota. He serves as the current and founding chair of the International Paramedic Registry assessment and credentialing board. He has over 40 years of continuous EMS street experience.
David is an award-winning national and international speaker. He holds a Master of Science degree in education from Minnesota State University. David helped create, coordinate, and teach the Inver Hills Community College’s paramedic degree program for 24 years.
A native of Mexico, David continues to be involved in the development of EMS internationally. Current projects include work in 21 countries including Morocco, Australia, Philippines, Ecuador, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Argentina, Costa Rica and others. He is the co-author of the Flipped Classroom curriculum for Jones and Bartlett’s EMT and Paramedic textbooks.
